Weekly Post | Scanography

Ok, New favorite thing to do when i'm bored.   This project was really interesting.  I saw some examples of scanography where the scanner was turned on it's side with objects layered in a mini scene in front of it, so I decided to try it out for my three scan build.  I marched out to the back yard and cut a piece of sod right out of the middle of the lawn.  :)  I brought the sod to the scanner, and using toothpicks, I made a mini garden scene.  As I scanned this image, I thought to myself, "Ok this looks like a garden at night. I need a moon." The moon ended up being a golf ball that was borrowed from a neighbor's garden (don't ask me why it was there).  and I used shredded grocery bags to create a wispy looking cloud cover.  I had a lot of fun creating this image, and I think I'll try to do some more scanography in the future.

  1. Jessica,
I was so impressed with how you did this. I love that you branched out and tried something new. I loved it so much, I just had to show my husband. Very neat idea and perspective. You are also very brave to try this
